This policy explains what personal data Ark Contractors Ltd collects through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We are the data controller for that information.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. Through the enquiry form that is:
- Your name, email address and, if you provide it, your phone number
- The project address or postcode, if you provide it
- The details you write about your project
Our analytics are cookieless and record aggregate page views without identifying individual visitors or building a profile of you.
Why we use it
Solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, and carry out any work you go on to instruct. The lawful basis is your consent when you submit the form, and thereafter our legitimate interest in responding to a request for our services.
We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing you have not asked for.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to operate the site and reply to you: our website host and email delivery provider. They process data on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes. Where a project requires it, we may share relevant details with a structural engineer, building control body or a trade working on your job, and we will tell you when that applies.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months. Records relating to completed work are kept for six years, which is the period during which a claim could be brought and the period our insurers and HMRC require.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data deleted, where we have no obligation to retain it
- Object to or restrict how we process it
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This site sets no cookies for analytics. If you consent to marketing cookies, our advertising provider may set cookies to measure whether an advert led to an enquiry. You can decline without any loss of functionality, and change your mind at any time.
